The $10,000 Queensland Government Building Boost Grant is available to buy or build a new home in Queensland from 1 August 2011. Originally the end date was to be to 31 January 2012.
The Courier Mail indicated on the 13th of January that the Queensland Government may extend this to 30 April to boost the state’s construction industry. This extension has been granted and the expiry date of the Building Boost currently is 30 April 2012.
The $7,000 state government grant for First Home Owners is not affected and still available so you could be saving up to $17 000 on the purchase of a new first home!
