The FHOG (First Home Owner’s Grant) is a Federal Government initiative to encourage first home buyers into the property market by offering a one off payment of $7,000. The grant may be used any way you wish, but from a lender’s perspective it can be used to offset the fees and charges or even form part of the deposit funds.
Our Mortgage Brokers are here to make it easy and to help you get your $7,000.
The best and quickest way to apply is to:-
Obtain an application form from your Multi-Choice consultant who will help you complete and then lodge the form with your loan application with the lender of your choice. The grant is then paid via the lender and made available at settlement. You may otherwise process your application through the Office of State Revenue but this can be quite a tedious task.
Go back to First Home Buyers page.
